ASSAULT AND ROBBERY

The Hampton Police Department is investigating an assault and robbery which occurred in the St. Patrick cemetery on Ridge Road. An 83 year old man was robbed and struck on the left side of the head. The suspect (artists drawing above) is described as a white male with medium build, about 6 feet tall, dark hair and dark facial hair, in his mid 20's to early 30's. ARMED ROBBERY

A home on 14th Street in Bay City was robbed at gun point. Two women told police a man knocked on the door and entered the house. He showed a gun and demanded money taking about $275. No one was injured in the incident. The man was tracked by a Michigan State Police dog, but it was unable to locate the suspect. The robber is a black male, between 20 and 25 years of age, about 5' 8" tall, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information should call the Bay City Police at 989.892.8571

SEARCH FOR JEWEL THIEVES

A national search is underway for three jewel thieves who robbed Andrew's Fine Jewelry at the Bay City Mall. Taken was $250,000 dollars in diamonds. The thieves were well dressed and worked as a team. While a man and a woman distracted the store clerks, a third thief entered a safe at the back of the store and moments later left still unseen by clerks who were being distracted. The black woman was described as about 35 years old, 5'3" tall, and very thin with short black hair. One black male had a mustache, wore glasses, was about 6'1" tall and approximately 170 pounds. The other black male was described as 6' tall, muscular build, 35 to 40 years old, short black hair, and wore a large wrist watch.
